L’Oréal
2013
The R&D Vision engineering office, specialist in image acquisition and analysis, asked us to accompany it on the development of a product for L’Oreal.
This device intended to be setup within hairdresser institutes, with an advanced technology allowing the acquisition of valuable hair data in order to “prescribe” the right products: a camera makes it possible to measure the hair diameter, while measuring the density of one wick, the other handpiece can measure the colorimetry of the wick …
So we decided to develop a design close to the medical world, soft and with clean curves, irreproachable whiteness, while bringing a touch of L’Oreal with a golden line.
The dock also hosts an iPad, allowing the person analyzed to integrate the database.
We worked on the interface of this application, by simplifying its ergonomics as much as by creating all the pictograms necessary for a good understanding of the analysis, whatever its location around the world.
